Mixhive is an artist-run shop. I sell my own art, which I've spent years creating. I want your purchase to be delivered and presented as I'd like it for my own experience and home. My wife and I work on orders together. We can typically respond to requests within one business day.

We've compiled a list of FAQs that might address your questions. If you need further assistance, don't hesitate to use the contact form below. We're here to help.

Cheers,
David

FAQs

Do you use AI for any part of your artistic process?

My surface design art (patterns, pattern-based graphic art) is primarily created in Adobe Illustrator. AI is not involved at any point from concept to creation. The art seen on this site is the result of years of iteration. I started designing patterns professionally in 2005 and have been tinkering with them ever since.

Do you accept orders outside of the United States?

At this time, I am unable to accept international orders. To be candid, I prioritized quality over efficiency when launching the store, so I chose the best, most consistent print and framing lab I could find.

The purchases are not automated, so I need to know the potential international shipping fees before you make your purchase.

As I grow, I will be able to afford automation that will allow for international orders. Get notified when I offer international shipping by subscribing to our email in the footer.

Do you offer other print or product options?

Contact us below with details of what you have in mind. Whether it's a different print type, framing option, or size, we may be able to accommodate it and create a custom order for you.

Please note my name is on the art, so I may or may not go for that wild idea of yours. Just ask, though, maybe I will.

Do you license your art?

Please contact us if you would like to license artworks seen on this site, or would like to commission custom art.

Do you offer reduced pricing for designers or corporate buyers?

I'll say it out loud: my margins aren't great. I picked the best and most consistent art print and framing company I could find in the US. The art prints are competition-quality.

However, if you are purchasing multiple pieces for a client or as a corporate buyer, we may be able to find a way to produce or license the art that works for both of us.
